To Bring Joy and Happiness
I Love to Entertain. I think of myself as an entertainer, although I may not be the funniest or entertaining at all, but I love to make people laugh. I have a strange wit about me, many have called me add, weird, and goofy. I do not mind as along as I made them forget about their troubles and made them feel good — albeit maybe only for a moment or two.
I want to bring joy and happiness to everyone. Why? Everyone deserves to smile and feel good about themselves, their family, friends, and their world.
My mission, and the mission of Davenport Media Group, is to Bring the World Together with Spiritually Positive Uplifting Entertainment and Bring Light and Love Into Their Lives.
It may be an uphill climb, a battle against the adversary, and a no win situation — some may think —, but I know there are others out there that want the same thing and would be willing to support such a mission. Myself and others look at it as an adventure, an expedition, and a responsibility to continue striving for the top of the mountain for every hard-working nobody trying to be somebody and for the hard-working people who want honest, sincere, and not over-hyped entertainment.
Why Me?
I am nothing special. A man like most others. An Artist among millions who themselves are trying to be someone. What makes me a little different, not better, just different, is I am not doing this for glory or money — I just want enough to support my family — I am doing it as I mentioned earlier, I want to heal the world with positive, uplifting, and emotional entertainment.
Our Plan To Make An Endearing Movie
No one is knocking on my door and handing me money to make a movie. Our other ventures and campaigns did not fail, but have not yielded what we were hoping. So we are going to try it ourselves and use crowdfunding to acquire funding to make a movie — a full-length movie/film (90+ minutes - closer to 120).
The funding is the budget needed to pay the talented people and their time.
CAST: The people that portray the characters on screen
Most actors, at least ones we will be casting for an independent film like the one we are making, are not full-time actors — they have regular jobs and act when they have time or the project means something to them. Actors whose names are well known want more money than we can get to just make the movie. To get an up and coming star would be awesome — a name people might know but their drawing value is not yet worth the likes of Denzel, Ben Affleck, Jason Statham, Jennifer Anniston, and many others.
CREW: The people behind the camera
Crew brings technical talents on lighting, camera settings, audio recording, script supervising, and many other crucial skills needed to organize the set.
EQUIPMENT: Cameras, Audio Recording, Dollies, Lights
Need at least one camera and a mic to capture the visual action, and need lights to see the action.
VISUAL EFFECTS
Fathball is filled with Visual Effects and we need a talented person/team to make the Computer-Generated Imagery, Composting, and Motion Capture effects so they look amazing and realistic for your viewing pleasure — we figured this is the largest portion of the budget.
Why Faithball? What is it about?
Why "Faithball"* ?
*working title
With 12 stories ready for production and no one giving me money to make the one they want made, it was brought to my attention that we should make a movie again. My criteria are: full-length, with a budget to pay everyone for their time talents, and no more run and gun, weekend warrior, doing 4 scenes in one day production. Brendan Brooks always siad we should do gobe nermal until I showed him Faithball.
What is Faithball about?
Faithball is a story I had since I did Paint 2006. A small group of young adults and teens go play paintball at a new place deep in the woods in what they think is a National Forest, but instead go to a place on the other side of the dirt road, which is home to Vampire-type creatures. “They are not playing to win, they are praying to survive.”
Faithball, unlike Chardonnay and many other of my stories is not quite "Entire Family Friendly," but has the same amount of faith-based Christian values as Chardonnay, it is just not for the under 14 age group.
Remember: Turn your Headlights on for safety. Even during the day.
